From our base at Harley, we will cycle to some of the most beautiful and interesting places in the Rochester area.

We will use the Erie Canal Towpath, the Genesee River Trail, and other area trails to explore local historic sites and enjoy the region’s natural beauty.

Led by Harley history teacher, Doug Gilbert, this camp will emphasize biking fun and safety. Campers will need to bring their own fully functional bike, which will be kept at Harley for the week, a water bottle, snack, lunch and a bicycle helmet.

Note: This is not an intro to cycling. It is for experienced and athletic kids. In past years, some campers have struggled to keep up with the pace and distance of a 10-20 mile daily ride. Please carefully consider the strength and fitness of your child in signing up for this camp. Riding around the neighborhood is not adequate preparation.

Please note that this camp runs 8:30-3:30 rather than the traditional 9-3. This is to give us time for a wider range of destinations.
