Harley Alumni Profiles

Schedule a Tour or Shadow Day

Harley graduates are making their communities better, thinking about the big questions…and uncovering new meaning from their educations here.

Enjoy these short profiles from our alumni.

Sam Hampton ‘77

Sam Hampton PhD is co-founder of Docs in Progress, an education resource for filmmakers.  Prior, he served as Executive Director for a Capitol Hill technology nonprofit, and was Program Director for higher education initiatives at the Executive Leadership Foundation. Earlier in his career, he coordinated program outreach for the New York State Health Department. Sam holds a PhD in Urban Education from Cleveland State University, undertaking research at Ohio State. He serves on the Board of Trustees of The Harley School, a Department of Education Blue Ribbon School.

Putting his filmmaking skills to good use, Sam created his own profile video for our page—but, instead of focusing on himself, he shows the way a Harley education impacts subsequent generations by turning the lens on his own daughters.
