The Atlantic 10 Conference announced its end of season men’s and women’s tennis awards on Tuesday afternoon and several Dayton Flyers were recognized. Junior Jordan Benjamin headlined the awards by winning the conference’s Most Outstanding Player award. Benjamin went 16-0 in singles during dual match play this season, all at the No. 1 spot in the lineup, and also earned the Atlantic 10 Conference’s automatic bid to the NCAA Singles Championships at Wake Forest University with a No. 121 ITA national ranking.

Benjamin was also named to the All-Atlantic 10 First Team.
Jordan had set a goal this year of becoming the first Dayton Flyers tennis player to qualify for the NCAA championships.
Benjamin, who was the A-10 Rookie of the Year as a freshman in 2016, should rank high in the record books by the time his undergraduate career ends a year from now.
