Student centered,

Inquiry based:

aiming higher.

Welcome! On behalf of everyone in Enrollment,
we want to thank you for your interest in Harley.

About The Harley School

Our school is a caring, close-knit community where students find their place, ignite their passions, find the joy in learning, and are prepared for success in our ever-evolving world.

We help students learn to dig deep into the process of growing while uncovering what makes them thrive as learners. They are motivated to become people who explore with confidence, value imagination, and tackle challenges.

Our academic program is designed to leverage and encourage the development of traits in a young person’s mind, including: critical thinking, an enduring drive toward genuine understanding, and the ability to risk “mistakes” to fuel growth. Through a curriculum that emphasizes hands-on and project-based learning, our approach encourages students to value multiple perspectives and rise to complex challenges.

Getting to Know You and Your Child

At Harley, our attention to individual students and families starts early in the admission process. We meet with you and your child to get to know you, to understand your goals, answer your questions, and determine your child’s readiness for our program. Harley offers a rolling admission process. We encourage interested families to apply throughout the academic year.

Contact us to attend an enrollment event or to schedule an individual tour.

The Harley community is filled with passion and purpose and we invite you to join us.

In Their Own Words

“I love Harley. The Harley community’s devotion to progress, especially evident in our mission of diversity and inclusion, gives us unique potential as a school that can be a place welcoming to all. And, honestly, I am incredibly grateful for this community. Being who I am, as a queer and trans person, it is not an exaggeration to say that this school saved my life. While we have things to work on, as every school does, I am confident that we are up to the challenge of being an even more diverse and inclusive environment. I am incredibly proud to be a part of this community.”

—Kai DeJesus ‘19; Undergraduate Student, Harvard University; Political Outreach Lead (MA), Brand New Congress

“We have found the Harley community to be inclusive, caring, and very welcoming, especially as a new Harley family. Other families, teachers, and Harley staff members have helped us feel very comfortable at Harley by offering us resources, tips for life at Harley and in Rochester, and answering our numerous questions.”

—Anand Marri, Harley parent
