Driver Education: Fall/Winter 2026

All area high school students are welcome. Students must be 16 years old by February 3, 2025 and have a learner’s permit or license to participate. The course teaches students to be safe and defensive drivers. After successful completion of the course, students will receive a New York State Night License Form ( MV – 285) which enables teenagers who are 17 years old to drive legally after 9 pm
Updated COVID Protocols:
The Driver Education program does not require proof of vaccination anymore. We are now mask-optional. If you contract COVID, but feel well enough to return on day 6 (from onset of symptoms), then from days 6 –10 you are required to mask with a KN95. We still expect students who have a new onset of COVID symptoms not attend Driver Education classes.
The Winter/Spring session runs from February 4, 2025 to June 8, 2025.
