ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Students at the Harley School showcased their creativity and innovation during the annual student showcase. The event featured work from students across all school levels, highlighting art, engineering projects, and classroom explorations.
The showcase offered a rare look at Harley’s hands-on learning in action, with hallways transformed into mini galleries and labs. Educators say the goal is to celebrate curiosity, creativity, and the real process behind student learning.
“It’s a really great opportunity to have the students come together outside of those celebratory events for curriculum-based things, projects that lead beyond the classroom,” said Kima Enerson, a maker-educator at Harley School. “Our upper schoolers really get a lot out of it, and our lower schoolers absolutely adore it when they have those big kids come in and become a part of their lesson as well.”
Organizers said the flexibility of the faculty in tailoring projects to student interests allows Harley School to host events like this.
