Archives: Conway Todd Architect

This May marks the 50th anniversary of a special dedication honoring Conway Todd P ’41, ’42, ’62, ’63, ’64, ’65, ’79, a devoted member of the Harley community and parent to Jonatha ’41, Jocelyn ’42, Kenneth ’62, Charles ’63, Michael ’64, Connez ’65, and Sarah ’79.

An accomplished architect, he designed Flag Hall/Todd Hall, the Russell Building, Wilson Library, West Wing, and the Beckerman Center, spaces that helped shape the campus and, in some cases, later inspired new or reimagined buildings. His contributions extended well beyond Harley, and we are grateful for the lasting influence of his vision and the enduring legacy of the spaces he helped bring to life.

Above is a photo of the Harley campus during the Todd era. Lee Sherwood Allen McDermott ’64 (Math, 1973-present) shared this sketch of Harley done by Vijay Kharbas ’81.

Michael Kaminski ’04: From Pool Chemistry to Patented Innovation

Suzannah Lea Sheeran ’19: Following a Lifelong Calling

When Suzannah Lea Sheeran '19 was a little girl, she drew a picture of her future. There were two houses—one for her parents and one for herself—and a third building she labeled simply as "my practice." Even then, she knew she wanted to help people. That desire has...
