Harley Giving Societies

The Harley School's Giving Societies
Generosity has shaped The Harley School for more than a century, and our giving societies honor those who help carry that tradition forward. The Harley Circle recognizes annual leadership giving to the Harley Fund, supporting the people and programs that enrich our students’ experiences today. The Harriet Bentley Society honors those who provide for Harley’s future through planned giving, creating a lasting legacy for generations to come.
Explore the opportunities below to learn more about each society and how you can become part of this tradition of generosity.

The Harley Circle: Leading Through Generosity
The Harley Circle brings together donors who support the Harley Fund with leadership gifts starting at $1,000 annually. As a Harley Circle member, your leadership gift provides immediate, flexible resources where they are needed most—from classroom tools and faculty excellence to arts, athletics, and financial aid.
Double Your Leadership Impact: Sands Challenge Match
As we celebrate Harley’s centennial, the Sands Family Foundation has issued a $150,000 challenge to double the impact of your gift to the Harley Fund.
How Your Gift Multiplies:
- New Harley Circle Donors ($1,000+): Your full gift is matched dollar-for-dollar.
- Current Harley Circle Members: Increase your gift, and your entire contribution will be matched.
- Multiyear Pledges (All Levels): Make a multiyear commitment, and your gift will be matched this year to help Harley plan strategically.
Matching funds are limited and applied to eligible gifts as they are received. Take advantage of this moment to double your impact!
What Leadership Support Makes Possible
Gifts from Harley Circle members strengthen every aspect of daily life at Harley:
- Inspiring Faculty: Supporting educators who bring learning to life and mentor students every day.
- Student Growth & Discovery: Enriching academic programs, arts, athletics, and hands-on experiences.
- Program Innovation: Creating space for new ideas, creek walks, NASA HUNCH projects, and hospice learning.
- An Inclusive Community: Sustaining financial aid so talented students from all backgrounds can thrive.
A Community of Supporters
Harley Circle members include parents, alumni, grandparents, trustees, employees, and friends united by a shared belief in our mission. What connects them is a desire to give back to the place that gives so much to our students.

Creating a Legacy for Future Generations of Harley Students
More than a century ago, Harriet Bentley, Harley’s namesake, and nine visionary women founded The Harley School with a bold belief in the power of education to transform lives. Since 1917, generations of students have benefited from their vision, discovering their passions, developing their voices, and making meaningful contributions to the world.
Today, the Harriet Bentley Society honors those who choose to extend that legacy through planned giving. By including The Harley School in your estate plans, you help ensure that future generations of students will have access to the same inspiring, student-centered education that has defined Harley for more than 100 years.

Planned gifts can be arranged in ways that reflect your personal, financial, and philanthropic goals. Whether through a bequest in your will, a retirement account designation, a charitable trust, or another planned giving vehicle, your gift can create a lasting impact while potentially providing financial and tax benefits for you and your family.
A planned gift is more than a financial contribution—it is a statement of belief in Harley’s future and in the enduring value of an education that empowers young people to lead lives of purpose and possibility.
We invite you to join the Harriet Bentley Society and help ensure that the Harley experience continues to inspire generations to come.
